SAS SNOW DAY at Stevens Pass

We are very excited to promote a great opportunity for ladies coming up at STEVENS PASS Mountain Resort. On March 2nd, 2019 the SISTERS IN ACTION SPORTS will be organizing an on hill day to meet other ladies in the Northwest winter community. There will be organized female group rides of all skill levels, ladies specific gear demos, a gear raffle, and plenty of time to ask technical questions. 

The Sisters in Action Sports Purpose is to inspire, encourage, and empower females through participation in action sports.

Event Information and Itinerary:

First 75 participants to register will receive a fabulous GOODY BAG at SAS check-in tent*

PRE Register before Feb 28th at 12 am (midnight) - Skip the ticket window and have your lift ticket waiting at SAS tent.

PRE Register after Feb 28th at 12 am (midnight) until March 1st at 10 pm- Still get a discounted ticket but after checking in at SAS tent, you have to go to a window and wait in line for the ticket (with proof of registration). 

Day of Event (Walk-up) - You can still get a discounted ticket but stand in line at SAS tent, have to sign all papers and then have to go stand in line at a ticket window to get your ticket.

Rental discount for all registered to SAS Event - 20% at Rental Office with proof of registration.


This is a women/girl-specific event. All ages and abilities.

Sisters in Action Sports (SAS) is partnering with Stevens Pass Mountain Resort to welcome women/girl skiers/snowboarders for a "SNOW DAY" on the mountain! This is an inclusive, safe, and community-building event for girls and women of all ages and abilities. We aim to encourage, empower, and increase participation in action sports at all levels.

There will be vendors, ski/snowboard demos, huge raffles (yes, plural), two group rides, and FUN for all! This event is truly about building a community, challenging each other, mentoring, inspiring, demoing new gear, and meeting new friends.

AGENDA:
8:00 am: Check-In at SAS Tent
9:00 am: Morning Announcement 
9:30am-Noon: SAS Group Ride
Noon-1:00pm: Break for lunch
1:00pm-1:30pm: Raffle #1 and GROUP PHOTO @1pm.
1:30pm-3:30pm: SAS Group Ride
3:30pm-4:00pm: Raffle #2
4:00 Event is over but still lots of time to enjoy the mountain with sisters or hang out together in one of the lodges!

Registration ($10):

You must register to participate in the SAS "Snow Day" event at Stevens Pass and receive discounts. Registration is $10 per participant. Every registered participant will receive two free raffle tickets with registration. Bring CASH for additional raffle tickets ($1 each). All proceeds go directly to Sisters in Action Sports to keep SAS opportunities like this possible. First 75 to register will get a goodie bag!

 

Group Rides (Free with registration):

Join a group of like skilled supportive sisters to explore the mountain with. Make friends to last a lifetime. Group rides will leave the tent area at 9:30 and 1:30

  • Novice: You know the basics + ski/ride green runs
  • Intermediate: Confident + ski/ride blue runs
  • Advanced: Very confident + ski/ride black diamond runs
  • Park: Confident all-mountain but want to party in the terrain park

Discounted Rental Packages (for registered participants):

Stevens Pass Resort is offering discounted ski and snowboard rental packages for registered participants. Select the applicable "add-on" rental package (by age) when you register. Day of discounted rental packages will be available through the Stevens Pass rental shop. You will need to check-in at the SAS Tent first. Proof of registration will be required at rental shop for 20% discount. You pay at Stevens Rental Shop.

Demo Gear: Snowboard and Ski Demo teams will be part of our SAS Village of vendors. Ask questions, try gear out for a run or two (not all day). See what's the latest and have the chance to find what's right for you.


 

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

No age limit to attend SAS "Snow Day". We are all sisters!!

 

What should I bring to the event?

Bring your own gear (unless you are renting) and be ready to have some serious fun!! Discounted ski and snowboard rental packages are available for registered participants.

You can bring your own lunch; however, Stevens Pass Restaurants have amazing food and beverages!
